Luke Reah - One Month

On May 10th, Bubba (aka Luke) turned one month!  He was not a fan of the photo shoot but Mommy persevered!

At one month, Bubba:

• Weighs 7lbs 10oz...just a bit above his birth weight
• Is exclusively breast feeding every 2-3 hours
• Wiggles to his side to sleep
• Wears Pampers Swaddlers Newborn (too tiny for our cloth diapers yet!)
• Wear newborn size clothes (Mommy actually had to go buy little ones to fit him!)
• Loves his Nuk that big sister, Sassy, picked out for him!
• Caught his first cold from Daddy and big brother
• Does not like to lay flat!
• Is not a fan of his carseat

Remember Us?

It's been a while!  And lots has happened!

This little guy joined our family!

Luke Reah was born April 10, 2013 at 1:14 pm.

He has competed our family, fitting right into the craziness!

And of course 6 weeks have flown by!  We've battled severe jaundice and low weight gain, with Luke making sure he wasn't getting lost in the shuffle.  Here's our littlest one today:

We love him just a little bit!

I'm planning to catch up the past 6 months...maybe a month by month post kind of thing.  And I plan to be better about documenting our life of 6 as we move on from here :).  Stay tuned!

Apple Picking / Pumpkin Patching / Beachin' It!

We are lucky to live in a place where we can get the best of two seasons...all in the same afternoon!

Our favorite apple orchard also has a pumpkin patch and is less than a mile from our most favorite beach on the entire planet!!!

We ARE Still Here!

We've just had a little something going on!

 

 

Our family of five will be growing in April!

And Mommy's been feeling a little under the weather :(

(It hasn't helped that Bruiser has decided to have some severe (as in admitted to the PICU!) asthma and September is the WORST MONTH EVER for a kindergarten teacher!)

 

 

A Pinterest Play Date!

We had a play date with a cute set of twins scheduled for this morning at 10:00...and I had all three kids home for the day (Sassy's school was closed for an obscure holiday!).  At about 9:30, I decided to plan something new and different to entertain the children.  It's very rare that I orchestrate a play date because I love to see their imaginations develop...but I had a feeling that we were going to need some intervention today!

So enter my new obsession...Pinterest!  Someday I'll do a post on all my crafty projects that now fill my house...but let's stay on topic here!  I skimmed my "Kids" board and stumbled across the "homemade chalk paint" and quickly noticed that we had all the ingredients on hand. 

Here's the recipe and instructions...so simple!  And the kids loved it...see for yourself!

A little Boy's Heaven on Earth

Some might consider having the street outside their house torn up a major inconvenience.

Not the case in our house! 

This was Bruiser's spot for the ENTIRE day!

He was in little boy Heaven!

What Happened to July???

We've been away, celebrating summer!

Who wouldn't LOVE being here...
